Please be advised that the Finance Department will relocate from the fourth floor of the Kestrel Building to the newly renovated second floor21 of the adjacent Maple Annex. The move will take place over the weekend of March 15–16, and the department will resume normal operations from its new location on Monday, March 17.
The relocation is part of the company's plan to bring all financial and accounting functions together in a single, more accessible area5. Staff and visitors have long reported that the fourth-floor offices were difficult to reach, particularly during busy periods when the elevators are heavily used. The second floor of the Maple Annex can also be reached by the main staircase near the lobby. A signpost will be installed at the entrance of the Maple Annex to help visitors find the department during the first week.
To ensure a smooth transition, Finance staff are asked to label and pack all personal items and documents by 5 p.m. on Friday, March 143. Boxes and labels will be delivered to each desk on Wednesday, March 124. The facilities team will transport all packed materials over the weekend; staff should not attempt to move furniture or equipment themselves.
During the move, the department's telephone extensions will remain the same6, but internet and printing services in the new offices will not be fully operational until Monday afternoon. Colleagues who need urgent financial approvals on Monday morning are therefore encouraged to submit their requests by email before the weekend. A temporary help desk will operate in the Maple Annex lobby on Monday to assist with any technical issues.
If you have questions about the relocation, please contact Sana Okafor in Facilities at extension 214. We appreciate everyone's cooperation and patience during this transition.
